LIMPOPO ON COURSE WITH JOB CREATION PLANS - PREMIER

Polokwane - The Limpopo government says plans by national
government to create half a million job opportunities by
the end of the year are on track in that province.
President Jacob Zuma committed during his State of the
Nation Address earlier this month that government aims to
create 500 000 jobs by the end of 2009.

Limpopo provincial Executive Council held
its routine meeting today, 24 June 2009 in
Polokwane.
As the meeting was taking place during the
Youth Month, the establishment of the
Provincial Youth Development Agency received
the priority attention of the Executive
Council. This followed the decision of
government to merge the Umsobomvu Youth Fund
and the National Youth Commission into the
National Youth Development Agency.

RURAL B&B TO BOOST TOURISM IN LIMPOPO

Tzaneen - Construction workers are
completing the final phase of a bed and
breakfast in Muhlava village near Tzaneen in
Limpopo which boasts five chalets and an
exhibition centre.
The facility, which has been built in a rural village and aims to cater for tourists visiting South Africa during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, is scheduled to open next month.
