Limpopo celebrates World Refugee Day

The Limpopo Provincial Government in partnership with UN Refugee Agency celebrated World Refugee Day in the Vhembe District. The event took place on the 20th of June 2015 at Thohoyandou Sports Ground.

Premier Stanley Mathabatha launches Youth Month Programme

The Limpopo Youth Month programme was recently launched in Polokwane, Jack Botes hall on the 8th of June 2015. This years youth month is commemorated under the theme Youth in Action for Economic Freedom in our Lifetime. The event was attended by various youth stakeholders in the province with Premier Stanley Mathabatha officially announcing various programmes which will be out rolled in the month of June.

Premier Mathabatha reshuffles his cabinet

In his recent address at the official appointment of new members of the Executive Council, Premier Stanley Mathabatha extended his sincere words of gratitude to the people of Limpopo for allowing him and his cabinet an opportunity to mourn the passing on of former MEC for Education Mme Thembi Nwedamutswu. The speech was delivered during a press conference which took place on the 27th of May in Polokwane. In his address Mathabatha further said:

Mathabatha celebrates Youth Day in Venda

The Limpopo Provincial government commemorated its Provincial Youth Day at the University of Venda in the Vhembe District. The day started with a 10 kilometer Freedom walk from Khwevha High School aimed at honouring those who laid their lives and ensured that all South Africans receive a better life.

MEC responsible for Treasury Mr Rob Tooley welcomed 40 young high school students to the Limpopo Office of the Premier premises. He was speaking on behalf of Premier Stanely Mathabatha during the annual Take a Girl Child to Work Day. MEC Tooley encouraged learners to study and use various opportunities provided by government to empower themselves.

Moletji honours its own luminaries
