Premier’s Trust Fund set to assist more needy students

The Premier Trust Fund Fundraising Gala-Dinner recently took place in Polokwane at The Ranch Hotel on the 24th of February after the State of the Province address. The event was attended by members of the Limpopo Executive Council, beneficiaries of the trust fund (Learners and employees) and various potential funders (Business people).

 

The trust fund is aimed at assisting needy and academically deserving students’ in the province. It is aimed at inspiring various private sectors to contribute by donating to fund and educating young people of our province. In his address Premier Stanley Mathabatha extended his word of appreciation on behalf of the learners and also thanked the private sector for their continuous donation towards the trust fund.

Mr Lucky Baloyi one of the graduates who previously received financial assistance from the fund expressed his humble gratitude and appealed for more funds to assist other needy learners like him.

The fundraising dinner is one of the many ways in which the trust fund raises funds and has plans of ensuing that the fund grows so that it can assist more learners.
