Moletji honours its own luminaries

By Maanda Mulaudzi

The Moletsi Traditional Council under the leadership of His Majesty Kgoshi Kgabo Moloto the third hosted a celebratory event in honour of two outstanding luminaries who hail from the dusty streets of Moletji. The ceremony was held at Moletji Moshate on 28 March 2015.

The luminaries are Governor of the South African Reserve Bank, Mr. Lesetja Kganyago and Judge Tati Makgoka of North Gauteng High Court.

The primary objective of the event was to inspire and motivate parents, community leaders and educators to prioritize the education of their children and to invest their time and resources in supporting their endeavours.

Speaking on behalf of the Premier Chupu Mathabatha, MEC Seaparo Sekoati said that without education and hard-work our province would have been robbed of a great economist and financial gurus who are now a holder of a Masters degree in Development Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics. We would have been robbed of the South Africa’s great legal mind who started as an Attorney in 1994 until 1997 when he was appointed an Acting Judge in the then Pretoria High Court.
