Six teachers put Limpopo on the national map

During the recent National Teaching Awards held in Gauteng, Limpopo educators scooped six awards in recognition of the good work they have done. The Provincial Department of Education held congratulatory Dinner at the Ranch Protea Hotel, Polokwane on 01 April 2015.

These educators are Mr. Leonard Kope Malatsi, St Paul High School in Sekhukhune. He got Ist Prize Excellence in Secondary School Leadership. Nndavheleseni Thomas Mudau, Jonathan Mushathama School in Vhembe District got 1st Prize Excellence in Teaching Physical Science (FET).

Azwihangwisi Virginia Malingana got 1st Prize- Kha Ri Gude Literacy Volunteer Educator. Nkaneke Joyce Komana got 1st Prize- Kha Ri Gude Mass Literacy Volunteer Supervisor.

Tintswalo Stephina Mayimela got 2nd Prize- Kha Ri Gude Literacy Volunteer Coordinator. And Charita Shikwambana got 3rd Place and Charita Shikwambana, 3rd Place- Kha Ri Gude Mass Literacy Inclusive Education Volunteer Coordinatotor

The MEC also congratulates the District Senior Managers for Vhembe District, Dr NG Rambiyana and Mr. SM Ravhuanzwo who were bestowed with the 2015 Premier Excellence Award for Service in Education. Vhembe is one of the Top Districts in the country in producing qualitative and quantitative results.

Vhembe also scooped two top prizes in the National District Excellence Awards namely, The Best Performing District with more than 150 Schools and District with the Highest Learner Retention in the Kha Ri Gude. The prizes amongst others include a study Trip to China, Lap Tops, Wi-Fi Connectivity and TV Screens.
