Office of the Premier receives clean audit report

The Limpopo Office of the Premier has received a clean audit outcome for 2014/15 financial year. This follows Premier Stanley Mathabatha’s announcement at the Limpopo Legislature during the Budget Speech vote for Office of the Premier recently.
Premier Mathabatha said the office of the Premier is leading by example. “For the first time, the Office of the Premier has received a Clean Audit opinion from the Auditor General. Of course this has been made possible largely by the effective and efficient oversight work of this Legislature and its committees”, he said.
He said his Office is committed to sustain the Clean Audit outcome with the hope that it will inspire other government departments and municipalities to improve their performance. “To that effect, we are working closely with the Auditor General to ensure good corporate governance in Limpopo”, committed Premier Mathabatha.
The Premier has vowed to members of the Legislature that the Office of the Premier will continue strengthening its coordination role through an integrated approach to monitoring and evaluation.
This is as per EXCO (Executive Council) adoption of the first ever Provincial Evaluation Plan that will enable government to demonstrate results, outcomes and impact in the implementation of government service delivery programmes.
“Through the evaluation findings, the government will be in a better position to communicate service delivery successes and the impact thereof. Above all, the evaluation results will inform the policy-making and planning processes going forward”, said Premier Stanley Mathabatha.
The Office of the Premier, Limpopo is allocated R376.3 million for 2016/17 financial year, R391.9 million for 2017/2018 and R411.5 million in 2018/2019 financial year. These funds includes Provincial Evaluation Plan, Provincial Policy on Spatial Planning and Land Use Management.
