Limpopo EXCO to visit late MEC Joy Matshoge’s family

The Limpopo Provincial Government Executive Council (EXCO) will visit the home of the late MEC Joy Matshoge in Modimolle to offer condolences to her family tomorrow, (Tuesday, 28 June 2016). EXCO will visit the home town of late Joy Matshoge in the afternoon. Premier Chupu Mathabatha will lead the delegation.

Limpopo Government is saddened by the passing on of MEC Matshoge. She died on Saturday night in a car accident between Mookgophong and Mokopane on the N1 highway.

Government has since established a funeral Committee to handle logistical arrangements towards the preparations of the funeral. The President of the Republic of South Africa confirmed that Mme Matshoge will be afforded a Provincial Official Funeral Category 1.

The Provincial Government will have a memorial service on Wednesday, 29 June 2016, 12h00 at Jack Botes Hall, Polokwane. The Provincial Executive Council chaired by Premier Chupu Mathabatha has since its special sitting today, endorsed funeral arrangements for the late MEC Joy Matshoge for this coming weekend in Modimolle. Mme Matshoge will be remembered for her passion in the development of young people as farmers. May her Soul Rest In Peace.
