Communications Minister brings hope for Peninghotsa Learners

Minister of Communications Faith Muthambi opened a block of four classrooms at Peninghotsa Village in Malamulele, Vhembe District on Saturday. Government in partnership with SABC and MTN foundation made sure that learning and teaching continues after they donated new building materials that renovated the school and two projectors.
The Traditional Leader of Peninghotsa Chief Wisani Hlungwani said that they appreciate the gratitude that is shown by the Government and both Private Sector on the initiative of renovating the four classrooms. The Minister of Communications Faith Muthambi said she was exposed to the terrible infrastructure conditions of the school when she was doing “The back to school 2016 January campaign”, and decided that something need to be done about the conditions of the school .The MEC for Education Ishmael Kgatjepe appreciated MTN Foundation and SABC for their help in renovating the school and requested the community to take care of the school for the sake of their Children‘s future. The Peninghotsa Secondary School was renovated after the roof was blown away by the storm in 2014.
