Learning continues In Vuwani

The learners of Vuwani went back to school after three months of not going to school. The Vuwani schools resumed their classes after 24 schools were burnt by angry community.
Now community leaders and entire community decided that they cannot delay their children‘s future forever awaiting for the Municipal Demarcation Board’s decision. The learners are excited that finally their future will be safe after the community agreed on allowing the children to pursue their education.
The MEC for Education Mr Ishmael Kgetjepe said “I am very happy that learning and teaching continues at Vuwani and we will do everything as a Department to support all the schools affected by the protests”. The MEC for Education visited Mugoidwa Secondary after four classrooms were burnt to check the extent of damage. “Mugoidwa is one of the most performing schools in Vhembe District so we will help as soon as possible in order to maintain their performance” said Kgetjepe.
