Education MEC signs pledge with learners at Taxila

The MEC for the Department of Education Mr Ishmael Kgetjepe visited Taxila Secondary School  early on Friday morning to read and sign the examination 2016 pledge with the Taxila Secondary School‘s Grade 12 learners who will be writing examinations on 24 October 2016.


The MEC encouraged learners to work hard so they can get good results at the end of the year. He also said that learners must adhere to the pledge content which will help to have clean and fair examinations.

The pledge to commits learners to, avoid irregularities such as copying, getting into exam rooms with cell phones , receiving help during the writing .The MEC ended by encouraging learners to study. The learners were excited to have the MEC for Education in their school .The MEC visited the school after receiving invitation from the school‘s Taxila Teenage Club with help of their educator Mr Philip Matji .

The aim of the club is to help teenagers with social problems such as bullying, drugs abuse, teenage pregnancy and other issues which are affecting young people at school.
