Education MEC visited Mhinga village

Limpopo Province MEC for Education Mr Ishmael Kgetjepe visited three schools at Mhinga village in the Vhembe District, Lim 345 Municipality on Friday last week. The Schools visited were Nkavi Primary School, Mahlambane Ndlovu Primary School and Butsoleni Primary School.



The main purpose of the MEC’s visit was to deliver seven schooling projects which includes the newly built state of art in the area.

A glittering hand-over event was held at the Joseph Rhangani Secondary School which is also one of the State of Arts schools.

In attendance were the village’s Traditional leader, Hosi Mhinga, political leaders from the district and a local municipality.

Thousands of residents from Mhinga community who gathered to witness the department’s inspiring initiative received medical equipments’ courtesy of Nedbank to take care of learners of those three schools.

Nedbank also donated 50 bicycles to the schools respectively.

In response to the department’s initiative, Hosi Mhinga has indicated that the community members must learn to build schools to empower the upcoming generations instead of burning down buildings in an attempt to attract the government’s attention.
