Department of Education replies to shortage of infrastructure at Raliphaswa School

The Limpopo Province Department of Education have handed 12 classrooms to Raliphaswa Primary School at Nzhelele Tshituni, in the Vhembe District on Monday. This follows a call for actions from the residents of Tshituni due to inadequate infrastructure at the school.


The newly built classrooms were an additional project to the few dilapidated classes and were constructed through the Department of Education partnership with Desai Operating Trust (DOT).

On behalf of the MEC Mr Ishmael Kgetjepe who was absent during the hand over, HOD Ms Beauty Mutheiwana was in attendance alongside the Mayor of Makhado Local Municipality Cllr Shonisani Sinyosi  and the Chief Director of DOT Mr Arum Kumar Desai.

Venda Traditional leaders were also represented by a delegate from Khosi Khulu Toni Mphephu-Ramabulana’s residence on the day.

Mutheiwana extended the department’s gratitude to DOT for their tremendous effort in assisting the Raliphaswa Primary School pupils by ensuring that they receive sufficient infrastructures to pursue their education effectively.

“We know that the Department of Education on its own cannot meet all the challenges as fast as needed by the public.” Mutheiwana lauded

“So we as the Department of Education wants to appreciate our social partners who keep assisting us for a job well done.”
