“There is more land where more of these ECD centre can be built in Limpopo, it will help to educate part of the 900 000 learners in the country that are registered in crèches”. Said the Deputy President

The centre is now officially registered with department of Social Development; however the centre needs to comply with certain requirements within 18 months in order to keep their gold status which was awarded with conditions such as reducing the current intake number of 120 learners to 94 learners to comply with norms and requirements for disease control and space management.

Amongst those who accompanied the Deputy President were Limpopo Premier, MECs, Health Minister, Social Development Deputy Minister and Mayors. They contributed 67 minutes of their time to the local Old Age Home by ploughing vegetables and painting the ECD centre.
