The Limpopo Annual Bursary Trust Fund Golf Day

On the 4th of July 2019, Euphoria Golf and Lifestyle Estate was the venue that was chosen to host the Annual Limpopo Premier Bursary Trust Fund Golf Day. The event which was hosted by the Office of the Premier in a collaborative effort  with Sponsors such as ABSA, Limpopo Tourism Agency, LEDET, LEDA ,APANE Consulting .C.C .and Energy FM.

The main purpose  of the event is to raise fund in order to  provide 100% financial assistance to students that are studying towards Higher Education Training qualifications in different disciplines in Universities and TVET Colleges.

Since its inception in 2002 it has had a positive influence in turning youngsters of Limpopo to be a success having had helped them in realising their dreams. According to Patrick Monkoe Acting Head of Marketing and Communications at (LEDA) Limpopo Economic Development Agency the Bursary Trust has managed to provide financial aid to 236 students in the
country. Patrick went on to say that the prize giving which was started in 2016 is mainly held  for the participant winners of the Day of Golf Tournament and is also a networking session. He went on further to say that the assistance of the  Fund does not prescribe the niche of study that students should study but that they only meet the required requirements, study whatever field they so choose and that it is a full bursary that caters for individuals essential needs like accommodation,meals,and  study material.

Mr. Monkoe further added that the beneficiaries of the Bursary Fund have over the years studied in diverse vocations such as the likes of Commence, Enterpreneurship, Accounting, Financial Management, Law, Bsc. Nursing, B Agriculture and B. Engineering and  the Fund will continue in it’s undertaking to provide for more young proud  Limpopo citizens. He went on to stress the unshakable and resolute made up mind  that the Provincial Government and its partners have  in the alleviating the Province’s long standing painful challenge  of unemployment and jaw striking poverty.

Mr. Steve Apane a Trustee who is part of the Board Bursary Fund reaffirmed the aim of the Fund saying they will be continuing to give an opportunity to individuals and companies wishfully thinking that they will kindly commit towards the charitable cause during the prize giving gathering.

The event was attended by Thabo Mokone MEC of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, Mapula Mokaba-Phukwana former MEC of Social Development,  fellow Policiticians, Managers, Directors, CEO’s of 500 Fortune Companies, and Golf fanatics .
