By Maanda Mulaudzi

The Office of the Premier is going to host 40 learners from Grade 9-11 from Mopani (Greater Tzaneen Municipality) and Waterberg (Mokgopong Municipality) on the 29 May 2014.

Premier Chupu Stan Mathabatha will do the welcoming address at the Office’s Auditorium. The theme for this year is "Dream, Believe, Achieve".

Take a Girl Child To Work Campaign is an annual corporate social investment which was introduced ten years ago by the cell C cellular network provider. This initiative aims to remedy the under representation of women in the formal employment sector. Private and public sector partners are involved in organising female learners from Grade 10-12, usually from disadvantaged backgrounds, to spend the day at a place of work. The campaign is anchored by the zeal to respond to the commitment to empower girls under the main notion, Empower a Girl, Empower a Nation.

Take a Girl Child To Work has now transformed to also accommodate learner boys and the ceremony will be composed of 20 girls and 20 boys as part of being gender sensitive.

After the welcoming by the Premier learners will have the opportunity to visit deferent units in the Office and share information that could be beneficial to them. They will also be offered opportunity to freely ask questions, including making suggestions on how government can improve services delivery.
