By Thembi Siweya

On the 9th of October 2014 Premier Stanley Chupu Mathabatha officially opened a road at Ga-Seleka Village in the Lephalale Municipality. The event was graced by various leaders ranging from the mayor of Lephalale Cllr J Maeka. The event started with the official opening of the ga-seleka road which proceeded to the official opening of the Seleka stadium and eventual handing over of a house to one community member.

The new access road is a 3 kilometre road, making it much easier for private and public transport in terms of access to the area. The contractor was appointed at the end of March 2014 and actual construction started in April 2014. In his adress Premier Stanley indicated that his government remains committed to delivering services to the people of Limpopo.

He further stated that ' the road was a necessity due to the large volumes of public transport in the form of busses'. The event also gave an opportunity to community members to interact with their leaders and state their frustrations.
