Leadership - Office of the Director General
Director General : Madikolo Rachel Molepo-Modipa
Overview:
The Director-General is the administrative accounting officer to the Premier and the government. The various departments of government liaise and work closely with this office on all government matters. The Office of the Director-General is located in the special department named Office of the Premier. Just like any other special office in the province, the Office of the Director-General is committed in promoting and striving for good governance, integrated planning and ensuring that the monitoring and evaluation of all programmes of the province is undertaken to bring about sustainable growth and development.
The Office shall continue its support to the Premier and the Executive Council (EXCO) in the execution of their constitutional functions and continue to coordinate the provision of provincial administration programmes which puts into action the new electoral mandates.
To sum it up, the purpose of the Office of the Director-General is to serve as head of the Limpopo provincial administration and as head and accounting officer to the Office of the Premier
Functions:
- Serve as head and accounting officer of the Office of the Premier
- Serve as head of the provincial administration
- Serve as secretary of the executive council
- Advise the premier and the executive council on administrative functions of the province

The Executive Support directorate's main task is the provision of support at an executive level, provincial administration, departmental parastatals and semi- government bodies. It serves as the Secretariat to the Executive Council.
To streamline and conduct Executive council's business
To process issues for the Executive Council's meetings
