PETROL TO INCREASE BY 17 CENTS PER LITRE

The price of all grades of petrol will
increase by 17 cents per litre at midnight
on Wednesday, the Department of Minerals and
Energy has announced.
This is a revised increment, from the
initial 16 cents announced on Friday.
Last month the petrol price decreased by 3
cents per litre.
The wholesale price of Diesel, 0.05 percent
sulphur, will decrease by 11.5 cents per
litre while the wholesale price of Diesel,
00.05 percent sulphur, will decrease by 12.5
cents per litre, said the department.
The price illuminating Paraffin will
decrease by 9 cents a litre and illuminating
paraffin at the Single Maximum National
Retail price will decrease by 12 cents a
litre.
During the period under review, between 30
April and 29 May, the international price of
Petrol, Diesel and Illuminating Paraffin
increased and the average Rand to the US
Dollar exchange rate strengthened when
