    Mental Health Awareness Day

    The Minister of Health and MEC for Health & Social Development in Limpopo, Honourable Seaparo Sekoati invite all members of the media (Journalists) to the Mental Health Awareness Day.

    This year’s theme is building awareness –reducing risks: mental illness and suicide. The month of October yearly commemorates Mental Health awareness month with 26 October being celebrated as Mental Health Awareness day The aim of the Department of Health's commitment and determination is to put mental health at the centre of government's health transformation agenda. Of all persons with disabilities, those with mental illnesses face the highest degree of stigmatization, unfair discrimination, violation of their human rights, exploitation and abuse.

    The event will take place as follows:
