    Candlelight Memorial Day

    International Candlelight Memorial Day is commemorated annually around the world on the 20th May. This year is the 24th Anniversary of Candlelight Memorial Day. On this day of remembrance, our thoughts and prayers go out to those infected with HIV and affected by AIDS. The MEC for the Department of Health and Social Development in Limpopo Seaparo Sekoati invites all members of the public to join him and commemorate this day as follows:

    The theme: “Leading the way to a world without HIV and AIDS”.

    This highlights our quest for a generation that is free from HIV infection. By preventing HIV infection, we can realize the vision of a world without AIDS. The Department of Health and Social Development would like to remind you to show your support by lighting your Candle of Hope on that day.
