MEC, Seaparo Charles Sekoati
Like all the youth of his era he was expelled from school because of his
involvement in politics. He was born in 1967, in the Sekhukhune District in
Mandagshoek. He started his school in 1974 at Namakgale Primary School and
completed his Matric in 1988 at Vuxeni High in Namakgale-Phalaborwa. He served
SAYCO, COSAS and ANCYL in various capacities.
In 1990 he went to the University of the North to study B Science and he
completed in 1994. While a student at the University of the North he become the
Labour Officer of SASCO. Because he is always concern about youth development,
he went on and studied Youth and Community Development diploma at the
University of Zambia in 1995 and in the same year he became the Policy and
Programmes Officer of the Limpopo Youth Commission. he is also a board member
of a youth NGO called African Pathways. In 1999 he was appointed chairperson of
the Limpopo Youth Commission and later become a member of provincial
legislature.
In 2004 He was appointed the MEC for the Department of Health and Social
Development.
He is happily married and blessed with three children.
