The last lap of a fulfilling journey

Limpopo Premier, Chupu Stanley Mathabatha, regulated his last Limpopo Executive Council (EXCO) meeting on the 8th of May 2024 at the Ranch Resort in Polokwane, Limpopo. The meeting served as a platform to conclude crucial matters of the sixth Administration term and prepare for the seventh incoming one. His companions for the meeting included all provincial MECs and other stakeholders of the Council. 

Post the EXCO meeting, Premier Mathabatha gave an exclusive media briefing where he reflected on the milestones and shortcomings of this fulfilling journey. “During the EXCO meeting, we approved cluster reports that highlighted the progress made in various sectors, laying a solid foundation for the incoming seventh administration,” disclosed the Premier. Chupu Stanley Mathabatha acknowledged the dedication and hard work of all departments and officials who have contributed to these achievements. 

Some of the key accomplishments that have been attained by the province under Mathabatha’s leadership include healthcare improvements, infrastructure development, good governance, and education and skills development, where education and skills development initiatives were prioritized to empower and equip the youth for the world of work and the future. His success has left a lasting impact on the province and set a strong foundation for future progress and prosperity. 

“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Limpopo for their unwavering support, trust, contribution of ideas and constructive criticism over the past eleven years that I have had the privilege of heading the province. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the development and transformation towards prosperity in our beloved province and country,” expressed the Limpopo Premier. “As I prepare to hand over the reigns to the incoming administration, I am confident that the foundation we have laid together will serve as a springboard for even greater achievements in the years to come,” concluded Chupu Stanley Mathabatha.
