OTP aligns APP for the 7th Administration

In adjusting the 2024/25 Annual Performance Plan (APP) for the 7th administration and reflecting on the approved 2024-2029 Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP), Office of the Premier held a two-day Strategic Plan (SP) session from 9 to 10 September in Polokwane where senior managers and executive management formed part.

The office’s values to build a capable, ethical, and developmental oriented provincial administration continues as senior managers extended their session on the 07th of October 2024 at the Old Cabinet Boardroom in Polokwane, to solicitate inputs that will assist in submitting the first draft of the APP.

The primary objective is to not only develop a 5-year plan that will institutionalise government priorities, but provide strategic, capable, and innovative government service provision. Therefore, Senior Management Service (SMS) members will consolidate all the resolutions from the Strategic Planning (SP) Session.

The resolutions will also be included in the draft of SP and APP with inputs from extended executive management committees before approval and will be presented to the top management committee for endorsement, where the progress will be monitored quarterly.

For the 2025-2030 Strategic Planning Cycle, all departments must develop the draft 2025-30 Strategic Plans and 2025/26 Annual Performance Plans and submit them to the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME) by 31 October 2024.
