“The dedication and hardwork of visionaries like Dr. Scholtz, Jaco Leicester and Carien Taute led to the acquisition of two hectares of land, which have now been transformed into this remarkable hospital.”
“The 72-bed hospital has been completed efficiently on time, demonstrating hands-on project management, as well as a learning curve for government to also achieve successful provision of services in time,” pressed Dr. Ramathuba.
The project has created more than 200 temporary jobs for members in the community where they had the chance to support and care foe their families. The modern infrastructure and advanced equipment will ensure that top-tier healthcare to both residents and international tourists is provided.
The formalities ended with Premier, Dr. Phophi Ramathuba, MEC for Health, Ms. Dieketseng Mashego, and local mayors, cutting the ribbon to officially unveil the hospital, one that will improve healthcare outcomes for residents, enhance the quality of life, and increase economic opportunies.
They also received the opportunity to tour around the newly built infrastructure, navigating through modern wards, operating theatres, and specialised units just to name a few. Ably, this building will be a beacon of hope for the Hoedspruit community, for it is more than just a medical facility, but the cornerstone and powerhouse for healthcare services in the province.
With more collaboration, the province can create an environment that attracts more investment, foster hope, and improve the well-being of locals! PM
