The new Anti-corruption Forum to bring down corruption

By Maanda Mulaudzi

Premier Chupu Mathabatha told the new Limpopo Anti-corruption Forum to take their job very seriously, because it is a serious job. The Forum will focus  on bringing down corruption both in the private and the public sector. He said this during the  re-launching of the forum at Bolivia Lodge on 12 November 2015.

The forum has amongst others the responsibility to facilitate the co-ordination of sectoral strategies against corruption and to advice government on national initiatives on the implementation of strategies to combat corruption.

The said that his government believes it has nominated men and women of high repute and moral standing  who are equal to the task and that the membership of the Forum was representative of various voices within the province. The forum has representatives from the government, the Public Service Commission, media, labour, religious community, traditional leadership and the NGO sector.

“While we commit to act harshly against corruption, we can only succeed if members of the public report corrupt activities, he said.
